Ship’s section fitter (from 680€ net/week) Rotterdam, in Netherlands

Job description

Our long-time agency partner in The Netherlands is currently on the lookout for Ship’s section fitters to join their team and work in various shipyards in Rotterdam region. If you’re an experienced steel fitter who is familiar with the relevant work procecces in the marine industry, this can be your opportunity!

In this position, your daily tasks will include:

• Pre-processing and customizing plates and profiles;
• Fitting (by means of burning, grinding, etc.) and assembling (by means of tack welding) of pre-processed material into workpieces;
• Making provisions (e.g. weld reinforcements) to prevent deformation during welding;
• Aligning, accurately adjusting and fitting engine parts and constructions, on and off the board of the ship;
• Reading technical drawings, welding instructions on a professional level;
• Checking the workpiece whether the pre-processing complies with the drawing in terms of shape, dimensions and cleanliness;
• Making various construction connections.
• Full compliance with mandatory safety and health provisions

The Company provides:

• Guaranteed min. 40 hours/week, with the possibility of overtime;
• Accommodation in a single bedroom in a shared house;
• Protective boots and tools are provided by the agency.
