For a varied position at GXO Logistics in Tilburg, our partner company is looking for a  talented and enthusiastic Mechanic technician employee. Are  you  the person who  wants to  commit  100% to our technical organization and is comfortable to work at heights? Then we are looking for you!

Within this challenging position you’ll  work together in your own technical  department on all daily activities in the technical and mechanical field. We have fully equipped and uniquely mechanized high-rise with associated low-rise buildings with technology.  This large-scale technical installation has a huge challenge in maintenance and  repair work,  both mechanically and electronically. In short,  a great diversity of technology!

In this position, your daily tasks will be:

• Performing periodic, preventive and/or curative maintenance and  adjustments to installations, internal transport equipment, building  and sites  in  order to  keep down time in the operation minimal
• Tracing and  solving/repairing malfunctions  with regard to installations, internal transport equipment, building and sites
• For the malfunctions that  you locate and signal, you  make improvements and  you  also carry them out
• Mechanical expansion/unassembly and  reassembly/assembly of, for example,  roller conveyors, racks, and internal transport equipment 
• Carrying out technical adjustments that  are necessary in the context of operational and safety bottlenecks
• Proactively ensure  timely repairs and maintenance, so that malfunctions can  be prevented and the operation can continue
• You will be required to work shifts in this role (a rotational 3 shift system for now)
• You will work with  the different systems in our automated freezer store, with a temperature of -21C °.
