What does an Electrician do?

As an electrician in the Netherlands, you are at the core of the country's infrastructure — ensuring homes, factories, and renewable energy systems operate safely and efficiently.

Route cables, install distribution boards, and fit sockets and lighting circuits in residential, commercial, or industrial settings.

Testing & commissioning

Perform thorough testing on new installations and existing systems to verify they meet strict operational requirements and safety standards.

Fault finding & maintenance

Diagnose electrical issues, troubleshoot system failures, and carry out routine maintenance to minimise downtime in industrial environments.

Compliance & safety

Ensure all electrical work strictly adheres to the Dutch NEN 1010 standard for low-voltage installations. You will also maintain compliance with other relevant site safety regulations.

Coordination & teamwork
