As a car painter in the Netherlands, you are at the heart of the collision repair industry — restoring vehicle aesthetics to factory standards using state-of-the-art spray booths and advanced water-based paint systems.
Sand, fill, and smooth repaired vehicle body panels using hand and power tools. You ensure a perfectly flat, defect-free substrate before any coating is applied.
Degrease, clean, and mask off vehicle sections to protect non-painted areas. Your meticulous masking ensures clean lines and prevents overspray on glass, chrome, and trim.
Apply high-quality primers, fillers, and sealers to prepared metal and plastic surfaces. You ensure excellent paint adhesion and long-term corrosion protection.
Create precise color mixes using advanced computerized spectrophotometers and mixing software. You adjust paint viscosity and match complex metallic, pearl, and three-layer paint systems.
Spray base coats and clear coats professionally inside modern, hybrid spray booths. You operate high-volume low-pressure (HVLP) spray guns and airless systems to achieve a dust-free, factory-grade finish.
Monitor the baking and drying process inside the spray booth. You inspect the cured surfaces for sags, runs, or dust nibs, and perform final polishing to ensure absolute surface perfection.
You don't need to tick every box - but the more experience you bring, the higher the salary and the faster the placement.
Proven experience of 2 to 4 years preparing and spraying passenger cars or commercial vehicles in a professional bodyshop. Vocational training in automotive refinishing is highly valued.
The ability to read and interpret vehicle repair orders, paint code documentation, and manufacturer refinishing specifications. Familiarity with color formula software and mixing ratios is a strong advantage.
A working knowledge of English (B1 level or above) is required to understand work orders and communicate with your team. Dutch language skills are appreciated but not mandatory.
High precision and a keen eye for color matching and surface perfection. You take pride in delivering a flawless, dust-free finish on every vehicle.
