Job description

VDL Parree specializes in high-quality plastic injection molding and assembly processes for industries like automotive and medical technology. With a team of 150 professionals, we focus on innovation, automation, and designing advanced plastic solutions.

As a Mold Specialist, you will lead the development of new molds and associated production tools, working closely with suppliers and internal teams. You’ll assess mold feasibility, oversee design, and ensure production meets the highest quality standards. This dynamic role includes collaboration with global suppliers, including travel to Asia 2–3 times a year.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage new molds in collaboration with suppliers, primarily in Asia.
  • Evaluate the technical feasibility of customer RFQs and provide detailed analyses (DFMs, Moldflow, Warpage).
  • Oversee mold design and testing processes, ensuring timely project delivery.
  • Supervise tooling during production trials and determine maintenance schedules.
  • Act as the key liaison between customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Participate in the design of assembly machines, measuring jigs, and robot grippers.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Significant experience in mold development, injection molding, and plastics.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Siemens NX).
  • Willingness to travel internationally 2–3 times annually.
