Insulation Engineer – HVAC (Shipbuilding) (€620 – €680 net per week) Vlissingen, in Netherlands

Heinen en Hopman Engineering B.V. is looking for experienced Insulation Engineers for a long-term project. You will work mainly on HVAC and piping installations, applying both Rockwool/mineral wool and Armaflex insulation in a professional maritime and industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Insulating ventilation and air-conditioning ductwork
• Installing Rockwool/mineral wool insulation
• Applying Armaflex insulation to piping and HVAC systems
• Insulating chilled-water, cold-water and refrigeration piping
• Measuring, cutting and fitting insulation materials accurately
• Correctly gluing and finishing Armaflex seams, joints and end caps
• Working according to HVAC drawings and isometrics
• Performing insulation work in confined spaces and at height
• Ensuring a clean and professional finish
• Following project quality and safety requirements

Requirements:

• At least 2 years of professional experience as an Insulation Engineer / Technical Insulator
• Experience with both Rockwool/mineral wool and Armaflex
• Experience insulating HVAC ductwork and piping systems
• Good knowledge of correct Armaflex installation and finishing techniques
• Experience with chilled-water, cold-water or refrigeration systems
• Ability to work from HVAC drawings and isometrics is preferred
• Comfortable working in confined spaces and at height
• Maritime, offshore or industrial experience is a strong advantage
• VCA certificate required – agency can arrange this if necessary
• Able to work accurately and independently
