As a Conventional Turner, you will play a key role in the precision machining of components essential to the operation of hydraulic systems. Using manual lathes, you will produce and repair parts such as cylinders, shafts, and fittings, ensuring high standards of quality and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate manual (conventional) lathes in a safe and efficient manner
- Machine metal components, particularly in stainless steel and black steel
- Interpret and work from technical drawings and specifications
- Use precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers) to verify tolerances
- Assist in the repair and refurbishment of hydraulic parts
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace
Job Requirements
- Proven experience as a Conventional Turner or manual lathe operator (at least 2 years)
- Strong knowledge of machining tools, materials, and techniques
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings accurately
- Proficient in using measuring tools for quality assurance
- Independent, detail-oriented, and safety-conscious mindset
- Some basic Dutch language skills or willingness to learn Dutch will be considered as a big plus.
