Job description

The client operates a major logistics hub in Born where products are supplied from Shanghai to Europe and Africa. You will be part of an enthusiastic, motivated team in a bustling environment that values both your current abilities and your personal development. If you have an affinity or experience in logistics as a warehouse worker, you can put your knowledge to direct use.

The Work Environment & Daily Tasks

You will work with a variety of smaller and larger electronic products ranging from chips to printers. Please note that this is physically demanding work: products can weigh up to 20 kg, and you may need to stack boxes up to 2.50 m high, often working above shoulder height. Safety shoes (S3) are provided before your first day.

Your Daily Routine:

• Start-Up: Begin your day with a team meeting alongside colleagues, team leaders, and supervisors to discuss the daily plan.
• Unloading: Use an Electric Pallet Truck (EPT / OPT) to unload incoming containers.
• Order Picking: Efficiently pick orders using a scanner to prepare items for shipment.
• Receiving & Packing: Work in the receiving department and packing station to pack products in protective packaging and label them with the correct delivery address.

For those who also have forklift or reach truck experience the gross salary will be €15.76 per hour

Shift & Overtime Additions:

• • Monday to Friday: 125% for overtime; 130% between 18:00 and 06:00 (or specific breakdown: 125% from 06:00–18:00, 130% from 18:00–00:00, 150% from 00:00–06:00).
  • Saturday: 150%.
  • Sunday: 200%.

You must be available to work across a rotating multi-shift schedule:

• Pallets Department: Three rotating shifts (06:40 – 15:40 / 08:00 – 17:00 / 12:00 – 21:00)
• Parcel Department: Single shift (09:00 – 18:00)
• VAS Department: Single shift (07:00 – 16:00)

Requirements

• Experience: A minimum of 1 year of logistics experience is required.
• VOG: A Certificate of a clean criminal record from the last 6 months is required in the application process
• Language & Vocabulary: Candidates must be familiar with standard English logistics terminology (e.g., packing, picking, loading, unloading, labeling, cross-docking, delivery, receiving, pallet, put-away, storage, shipping, goods)..
• Flexibility: Couples or family groups are accepted only if they agree to work in different shifts or departments if required.
• Accommodation: Willing to share rooms with other tenants.
