Job description

Join one of the Netherlands' leading shipbuilding companies and become part of a large welding team working on high-quality maritime projects. We are looking for experienced MIG/MAG Welders.The initial project runs until 12 September 2026, but there is a high chance of a longer-term assignment for good performers.

As a Welder, you will work on the production and assembly of steel ship components, carrying out high-quality welding on carbon steel and stainless steel. You will read technical drawings and welding procedures, prepare and inspect materials before welding, perform MIG/MAG, CO₂ and stick welding, and ensure every weld meets strict quality standards. Welds are inspected by external NDT, so precision and attention to detail are essential.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of proven experience as a CO₂ / MIG/MAG Welder
  • Experience welding carbon steel and stainless steel
  • Experience with SMAW (stick welding) is an advantage
  • Experience welding in FP and DP positions
  • Ability to read technical drawings
  • Valid welding certificates***
  • Own welding helmet
  • Own transport is an advantage

  • CRS – Croatian Register of Shipping
  • DNV
  • IRS – Indian Register of Shipping

  • PRS – Polish Register of Shipping
  • RINA – RINA Services S.p.A.
  • Türk Loydu (Turkish Lloyd)
