Are you a professional bus driver looking for a new challenge in a dynamic city?
We are seeking experienced and dedicated drivers from across the EU to join our client’s public transport team. As a driver, you’ll be more than just behind the wheel: you’ll serve as a host, guide, and connection point for passengers ranging from daily commuters and students to tourists. You’ll be driving modern buses, including a growing fleet of electric vehicles, as the company aims for a 100% zero-emission fleet by 2030.
Our client is one of the largest public transport companies in the Netherlands, operating buses, trams, and metro lines. They offer job stability, modern vehicles, and a supportive team environment where you can grow professionally while contributing to greener urban transport.
Recruitment Process
The recruitment process typically takes 2–3 weeks and includes:
- 1st call: Introduction interview with a 24/7 recruiter (English level, motivation, offer alignment)
- 2nd call: Interview with a recruiter responsible for bus companies
- 3rd call: Final interview with the client
- Please be aware tthat the final salary is confirmed after the 3rd interview
Start dates are flexible and depend on both the candidate and upcoming training groups. There are usually 2–3 new groups starting each month.
Training & Onboarding
Before starting work, candidates will complete a paid training program lasting approximately 1 month:

- First 1–2 days after arrival: Administrative procedures (BSN registration, medical check, accommodation setup)
- Day 1 of training: Skills assessment (practical driving test)
- Week 1: Theory training and lectures
- Weeks 2–4: Practical training in buses (on-the-job learning)
The duration of the practical phase may vary depending on the driver’s skills and independence, but the full training usually takes around 1 month.
Your Responsibilities
- Safely and smoothly transport passengers across various routes
- Operate modern and electric buses
- Provide excellent customer service
- Represent the company as a friendly and responsible driver
- Follow all traffic and safety regulations
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a bus driver in public transport
- Valid D driving license and Code 95 endorsement (Driving license and documents must be valid for at least 6 months from the start date)
- Valid Medical Certificate
- Criminal record check (VOG) from your home country
- Good physical health is essential – medical check includes blood pressure, eyesight, and overall condition
- Own car is a plus (rental available: €75 net/week, no private use, fuel at own cost)
- Female drivers are strongly encouraged to apply
Working Conditions
- Guaranteed 40 hours per week (on average, it may happen that it will be less hours in the first weeks)
- Irregular shifts between 05:00 a.m. and 01:00 a.m.
- Weekly shift planning
- Maximum 90 hours over two weeks
- Start with a limited number of routes (approx. 2 routes initially)
Salary & Allowances
- €550–€620 net per week (depending on shifts and allowances)
- Base hourly wage: €17.74 – €24.72 gross
Allowances:
- Irregular hours (ORT): 15%–55%
- Early shift: +€6 per shift
- Evening shift: +€23–€48 per shift
- Saturday: +€45 per shift
- Sunday: +€65 per shift
Additional bonuses:
- First Aid: €15.41/month
- Broken service: €22.19 each
- Code 95 diploma: €59.03/month
