Our client is a well-established, family-owned shipyard with over 85 years of experience in the inland shipping industry. The company specializes in ship construction, maintenance, repairs, renovations, conversions, and ship lengthening. The shipyard is equipped with modern facilities, including a slipway and hydraulic ship lift, allowing the team to work on various types of inland vessels.

We are looking for an experienced Pipe Fitter to join the team and work on piping installations in ship engine rooms and other technical areas.

As a Pipe Fitter, you will be responsible for measuring, preparing, assembling, and installing piping systems on board vessels. You will work independently from technical drawings and cooperate with welders and other specialists to ensure accurate and high-quality installations.

Your main responsibilities:

• Reading and working independently from technical drawings.
• Measuring, fitting, and installing piping systems in ship engine rooms.
• Installing pipes for fuel, oil, cooling, and heating systems.
• Cutting, measuring, and preparing pipes to the required dimensions.
• Installing pipe brackets, supports, and other mounting structures.
• Performing tack welding to prepare piping systems for final welding.
• Independently cutting openings in ship bulkheads using a cutting torch.
• Performing MIG/MAG welding when required.
• Checking the correct installation, alignment, and quality of piping systems.
• Cooperating with welders and other technical specialists during ship construction and repair projects.

Job Requirements

• Extensive experience in shipbuilding or shipyard environments.
• At least 2 years of proven recent professional experience as a Pipe Fitter, preferably working on vessels.
• Ability to independently read and interpret technical drawings.
• Experience with measuring, cutting, fitting, and assembling piping systems.
• Practical experience with MIG/MAG welding.
• Ability to independently cut openings in bulkheads using a cutting torch.
• Good knowledge of piping installations in ship engine rooms.
• Ability to work independently, accurately, and safely.
• Practical, responsible, and quality-focused working attitude.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: €600 net per week.
• Gross hourly rate: €19.46.
