We are seeking experienced and skilled Assemblers for shipbuilding and heavy mechanical work in Rotterdam. This is a critical role that supports the assembly, maintenance, and installation of high-precision ship components. Candidates must be capable of working independently on complex mechanical tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Dismantle and assemble machinery such as propeller shafts, rudders, bow thrusters, and couplings independently
• Transport large and complex ship components on board vessels
• Read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions with minimal guidance
• Measure and inspect ship components in accordance with protocols
• Use various tools, including hydraulic tools, accurately and safely
• Work in accordance with certified safety procedures, including safe hoisting, aerial platform operation, and forklift usage

Requirements

• Vocational education and thinking level equivalent to MBO Level 3
• Strong theoretical and practical mechanical knowledge
• Problem-solving ability for technically complex challenges
• Previous experience in shipbuilding, especially in repair, maintenance, and delicate assembly
• Skilled in the use of measurement and alignment tools

• Weekly salary: €600–€650 (based on 40 hours)
