At KTTC, we specialize in restoring and overhauling truck trailers — and we’re looking for a motivated Assistant Mechanic to support our experienced team in getting these giants back on the road.

Are you technically minded and not afraid to get your hands dirty? In this role, you’ll work on repairing and rebuilding truck trailers — from structural damage to mechanical systems. Whether you're replacing walking floors, repairing brake systems, or troubleshooting electrical and hydraulic issues, no two days are the same.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Repairing and rebuilding trailer bodies
• Replacing trailer parts such as brakes, air bellows, struts, and lights
• Performing mechanical work, including damage repair and welding
• Troubleshooting electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
• Assisting with installation of walking floors and other key trailer components

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you don’t need to know everything — but a solid technical base and the right mindset are key. We’re looking for someone who’s practical, reliable, and ready to grow in a hands-on environment.

• Some mechanical experience is required
• Welding experience is a strong advantage
• Technical education or demonstrable technical skills
• Able to work quickly, accurately, and stay focused during repetitive tasks
• Must be able to cycle to work
• A tractor or truck license is a plus (for operating a Terminal Trekker)
• Willingness to learn grinding, welding, and trailer systems
• Physical fitness: the work involves lifting and handling heavy materials
• Team spirit and the drive to deliver quality work

Work environment:

• All work takes place indoors, in a well-equipped garage
• You’ll perform physically demanding tasks, especially involving hands, arms, and shoulders

• A starting salary of €15.64 per hour, with the opportunity to grow to €16.35 per hour

Team composition:

You’ll be working with Dutch and Polish colleagues, as well as a group of Bulgarian mechanics.
