Imagine working in a beautifully renovated monumental train station, filled with daylight, underfloor heating, and four original tracks where you will help modernize over 200 locomotives. At Brouwer Technology, innovation meets history, and you can be part of this extraordinary project.

We are assembling a dedicated team of around 20 professionals to rebuild and upgrade classic locomotives with the latest electrical and mechanical systems.

As a Train Electrician / Mechanic, you will work both inside and outside locomotives to upgrade, refit, and modernize them to today’s safety and technical standards. Your tasks will include:

Interior work:

• Stripping and refitting locomotive cabins (20+ years old)
• Replacing panels, wiring, switches, and control handles
• Installing advanced systems like sensors and traceability technology
• Reading and working from technical drawings and diagrams

Exterior work:

• Installing wiring, antennas, and smart sensors
• Upgrading locomotive systems to meet modern safety and operational standards

This is hands-on, precision-based craftsmanship — not a plug-and-play position.

We are looking for proactive professionals with strong technical insight who are ready to grow and build with the team.

Requirements:

• Completed MBO degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a similar field
• Experience with electrical and/or mechanical installations (at least 2 years)
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, diagrams, and technical documents
• Knowledge of rail or transport systems is a strong advantage
• Independent, self-motivated, and a team player
• Driving license preferred
• Mechanical skills are an advantage — multi-skilled candidates are highly valued.
