For a leading shipyard in the Netherlands, we are looking for experienced Steel Workers to join a shipbuilding project. You will be involved in steel construction, assembly, fitting, and outfitting activities on marine vessels and structures.

Responsibilities

Preparation

• Verify the availability of all required components.
• Check pre-processed parts against technical drawings, dimensions, shape, and cleanliness requirements.

Steel Construction & Assembly

• Cut and prepare steel plates and profiles.
• Fit and assemble steel structures using tack welding.
• Grind, burn, and adjust components where necessary.
• Install reinforcements to prevent deformation during welding.
• Align and position engine components and steel structures accurately.

Outfitting Activities

• Install foundations.
• Install stairs and platforms.
• Align valves, valve stems, cylinders, and bottom doors.
• Install chocks, winches, and cranes.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in shipbuilding, ship repair, steel construction, or outfitting.
• Ability to read and work from technical drawings.
• Experience with tack welding.
• Valid VCA certificate or willingness to obtain one before starting.

What We Offer

• €660 net per week based on 40 working hours.
• Additional reserve accrual of approximately €1.25 per hour, paid out during leave periods.
• Private accommodation arranged by the employer.
• Weekly salary payments every Friday.
• Company PPE provided.
• Travel allowance of €0.23/km when using your own transport, or company transport may be available.

Additional Information

• Working schedule: 5 days per week.
• Overtime opportunities available, with working weeks averaging 40–50 hours.
• International travel costs are considered included in the employment package.
