Opis stanowiska

At ACB Transport Belts & Parts, we manufacture and supply conveyor belts, roller conveyors, and transport systems. Our skilled technicians install and maintain these systems on-site, providing 24/7 service from our 4 ACB locations.

In 2024, we celebrate our 30th anniversary – a testament to our experience, great team spirit, and dedication to delivering the best solutions for our customers. We are a family-owned business with a no-nonsense mentality, where hard work, reliability, and mutual respect are key. We offer every opportunity to grow – both personally and professionally – and to help take ACB to the next level.

As a Maintenance Technician for conveyor belts, you will:

  • Install, replace, and maintain conveyor belts and complete transport systems on-site at various customer locations (from industrial sites and amusement parks to ships).
  • Replace and install rubber and synthetic conveyor belts.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on transport systems.
  • Work at heights or in challenging environments (e.g., dredging ships, sand extraction sites, amusement rides).
  • Vulcanize belts and resolve belt malfunctions.
  • Collaborate with team members and communicate with customers on-site.
  • Complete a 12-week structured training program at our Horst location before working independently.

You’ll work full-time (40 hours per week during training, 45 hours per week after), regularly traveling to customer locations, and be part of a 24/7 service team. You will also be on standby duty once every 8 weeks for emergency calls outside regular hours.

.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Technical insight and a hands-on mentality (experience is a plus but not required).
  • Willingness to learn, including our internal training and ongoing coaching.
  • Team player attitude – you’ll work closely with colleagues and be part of a close-knit team.
  • Flexibility for varied working hours and locations, including 24/7 availability.
  • Professional appearance – wearing ACB company clothing at all times.
  • Physical fitness – the work is demanding and often performed on-site, sometimes at heights or in industrial environments.

Optional but beneficial:

  • Previous experience with conveyor belt systems.
  • Experience with vulcanization or mechanical assembly.

Working Environment

You’ll operate on-site at a wide range of customer locations – from industrial sites and amusement parks to ships, sand extraction sites, and even poultry farms. You’ll work in various conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and environments with strong odors, making the job diverse and challenging.

  • Transport to the job: (E-)bike or car (company-arranged depending on distance).
  • Work clothes/shoes: Company-provided shoes (€30 cost).
