Our client is a specialist in producing minibuses and midibuses for the public transport sector. In addition to buses, they develop and produce special vehicles in a wide variety of designs for multiple industries.

The Special Vehicles department acts as a conversion partner, offering innovative solutions for transport needs. Their focus is on modern vehicle modifications, mainly (LCV) Light Commercial Vehicle platforms up to 5.5t and special projects up to 7.5t.

With many years of experience, the emphasis is on complex vehicles with high levels of system integration and body modifications — including visual and sound signaling systems, communication equipment, and armor. They are a leader in the world of special vehicle production, striving for the highest quality and innovative products for clients such as police, defense, medical services, and fire brigades.

As an Assembly Mechanic at VDL Special Vehicles, you will:

• Assemble prototype and pre-series vehicles according to technical drawings
• Perform quality checks and ensure the highest standards
• Solve technical issues during the assembly process
• Contribute to improving assembly processes and implementing new techniques

Requirements

We’re looking for someone with:

• Similar experience as an assembly worker/mechanic (at least 1-2 years)
• A strong affinity for vehicles and mechanical systems
• Knowledge of technical drawings
• Practical skills (cutting, drilling, etc.)
• Technical insight and affinity with the automotive industry
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Working Conditions

• Salary: €560 / 40 hours per week
