Our client is an established company operating in the metal recycling industry in Zwartsluis, the Netherlands. The company uses various production lines, industrial machinery, and mobile equipment to process and recycle metals.

We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician to join the technical team and ensure that all machinery and equipment operate safely and efficiently.

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting production machinery and mobile equipment. You will work with mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems to prevent breakdowns and keep operations running smoothly.

Your main responsibilities:

• Performing preventive and corrective maintenance on production lines and mobile equipment.
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and basic electrical malfunctions.
• Inspecting machinery and equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.
• Carrying out technical repairs, adjustments, and modifications.
• Troubleshooting electrical systems and basic control systems.
• Planning and organizing maintenance and repair activities.
• Participating in technical improvement projects.
• Independently identifying technical problems and implementing practical solutions.
• Working closely with colleagues to minimize downtime and improve equipment performance.

Job Requirements

• At least 1-2 years of previous recent experience as a Maintenance Technician, Maintenance Mechanic, or Industrial Mechanic.
• Good knowledge of mechanical and hydraulic systems.
• Experience with electrical engineering and basic control systems.
• Ability to diagnose and repair technical malfunctions independently.
• Experience working with industrial machinery or production equipment.
• Good technical understanding and practical problem-solving skills.
• Ability to plan and organize maintenance activities.
• Independent, responsible, and hands-on working attitude.
• Experience in the metal recycling or heavy industrial sector is an advantage.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: €550 net per week (morning shift).
• Gross hourly rate: €18.19.
