About Hisarna

Hisarna is an innovative technology developed to produce iron with significantly less pre-processing. The process can use coal and iron ore almost directly, reducing the need for traditional processes such as sintering and coke production.

The technology aims to reduce CO₂ and other emissions while also supporting a more circular production process through the use of scrap metal and residual materials.

At the pilot plant in IJmuiden, Tata Steel continues to develop and scale this technology as part of its ambition to move towards cleaner and CO₂-neutral steel production.

!!!Important Information

The final salary and job grade depend on the candidate's knowledge and experience. Candidates approved to start will undergo a pre-employment screening, which must be completed before starting.
