VDL TIM Hapert is looking for a skilled CNC Turner with experience in Siemens-controlled lathes to join the precision engineering team.

In this role, you will:

• Program, set up, and operate CNC turning machines
• Read and interpret technical drawings
• Select appropriate tools and cutting parameters
• Optimize machining processes and ensure high-quality production
• Use measuring instruments to maintain precision and tolerances
• Troubleshoot machine setups and adjustments

Job Requirements

Experience & Skills:

• Proven experience as a CNC Turner (not just an operator) – at least 2 years
• Strong knowledge of Siemens CNC controls (e.g., Sinumerik 828D/840D)
• Ability to program, set up, and operate CNC lathes independently
• Proficiency in G-code and cycle programming

Technical & Quality Standards:

• Experience with precision machining and tight tolerances (μm-level work)
• Ability to select and set up tools, fixtures, and cutting parameters
• Familiarity with measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
• Understanding of material properties (steel, aluminum, etc.)
• Strong troubleshooting skills for machine setup and adjustments

Other Requirements:

• Technical education in machining or mechanical engineering (preferred)
• Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Willingness to work in shifts
