Our partners in the Netherlands, Royal IHC are looking for experienced CO2 (MAG) welders for shipyard.

Your daily tasks will include:

• welding CO2 on the steel plating of the ship’s sections with precision and expertise
• multi-layer CO2 welding on the steel sections of ships, ensuring strong and durable joints.
• CO2 welding to assemble the steel plating of ship sections using multi-layer welding techniques.
• CO2 welding across multiple layers of steel plates to construct robust ship sections.

Requirements:

• detailed and up to date CV in English language,
• at least 2 years of experience as MAG welder in ship building or repairs,
• after arrival obligatory test to be made by each welder before start of work (welding with ceramic stones)
• welding certificates 136, 138 with stamps for validation every 6 months,
• welding papers according to NEN EN-ISO 9606-1 with welding position PF or H-L045 on the certificate for approval,
• VCA basic safety course obligated (candidate has to have it or be willing to take the course straight before start)
• willingness to work overtime and in shifts.

Conditions and salary:

• Salary:
• 700 eur net at 40 hrs/week (after tax and housing day shift)
• 800 eur net at 40 hrs/week (after tax and housing evening shift)
• Shift changes every week; 1 day shift / 1 evening shift
• 5-6 working days (possible overtime and working on Saturdays)
• 40-46 working hours/week
• accommodation in private bedroom,
• travelling to work allowance by employee – 0,21/km or by Timing, cars available.
