Are you an experienced Spray Painter with knowledge of industrial coatings and surface preparation? Would you like to work on ships and marine structures in the Netherlands? We are looking for a skilled Industrial Painter to join a company specializing in marine preservation and protective coatings.

You will work for Shipservice, a company providing professional cleaning, blasting, and coating services for vessels such as ferries, tugboats, inland ships, and other marine structures. The company focuses on quality, safety, and durable coating solutions.

As an Industrial Painter, you will be responsible for preparing, treating, and painting steel structures and ship components. Your work will involve surface preparation, applying protective coatings, and ensuring a high-quality finish that protects metal surfaces against corrosion and harsh maritime conditions.

Your main responsibilities include:

• Preparing steel surfaces by cleaning, degreasing, sanding, and blasting.
• Applying primers, protective coatings, and finishing layers using spray equipment, brushes, or rollers.
• Painting ship components and various metal structures.
• Checking coating thickness and inspecting the quality of finished surfaces.
• Performing maintenance and repair painting work.
• Following technical specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.
• Keeping painting equipment and the workplace clean and organized.

Job Requirements

• At least 3 years of previous recent experience as an Industrial Painter, Spray Painter, or Marine Coatings Painter.
• Experience with surface preparation, including blasting, sanding, cleaning, and degreasing steel structures.
• Practical experience applying primers, intermediate coats, and finishing coatings.
• Knowledge of industrial paint systems and corrosion protection.
• Ability to work according to technical specifications and quality standards.
• Attention to detail and the ability to deliver high-quality finishing work.
• Experience in shipbuilding, ship maintenance, or industrial metal coating is a strong advantage.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
