In this role, you are in the heart of the horse world, surrounded by nature. You ensure that all arenas and tracks are in their best condition so that horse competitions can run smoothly.

As an arena staff member, you are responsible for the daily well-being of the horses and the maintenance of the accommodation. Your tasks mainly include mucking out, bedding down, cleaning stables, feeding, washing, and brushing horses. Additionally, you take horses to the pasture/paddock, drag the riding arena (piste), and maintain the grounds.

Core activities and responsibilities:

• Care: Feeding, brushing, washing horses, and checking their overall health.
• Stable maintenance: Daily mucking out of stalls and ensuring a clean, dry stable.
• Arena & grounds: Dragging and leveling the riding arena (piste), maintaining paddocks and pastures, setting up and taking down obstacles in the arenas, clearing manure during competitions, and replacing fallen poles on the obstacles.
• Logistics: Taking horses to and from the pasture or paddock.
• Support: Saddling and unsaddling horses, assisting the farrier or veterinarian.
• Facilities: Keeping the yard, hallways, and canteen clean and tidy.

The gross hourly wage for this job is €15.15 with stable, 35-40 hours of work per week.(might work on weekends occasionally, during events).

The work is physically demanding and requires a passion for horses, insight into horse behavior, and a motivated work attitude. Experience is often a plus, but eagerness to learn is also appreciated.
