Are you an experienced MIG/MAG Welder / Fitter with valid welding certifications and strong experience in steel construction?

We are looking for a skilled and certified professional to work on large steel structures for traffic and road infrastructure in the Netherlands. Our client specializes in manufacturing high-quality steel constructions used in public infrastructure, including traffic sign poles, overhead gantries, and large supporting structures for road signs installed alongside and above roads.

As a Certified MIG/MAG Welder / Fitter, you will independently assemble and weld steel structures based on technical drawings and Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS). The position requires experience with MAG welding (process 135), fillet welds (FW), butt welds (BW), and multi-layer welding. This position is ideal for an experienced welder who can work independently and deliver high-quality welds according to strict technical standards.

Your Responsibilities

• Performing MAG welding (process 135) on large steel structures.
• Welding and assembling steel components for traffic infrastructure.
• Independently reading and interpreting technical drawings.
• Working according to Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS).
• Performing fillet welds (FW) and butt welds (BW).
• Performing multi-layer welding on steel constructions.
• Fitting and assembling large steel components and supporting structures.
• Inspecting welds to ensure quality and compliance with technical specifications.
• Using professional welding equipment and lifting tools safely.
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized workplace.

Requirements

• Valid EN-ISO 9606-1 welding certification – MANDATORY.
• Valid FW (Fillet Weld) and BW (Butt Weld) qualifications for welding process 135 (MAG) – MANDATORY.
• Proven experience with multi-layer welding – MANDATORY.
• At least 2-3 years of previous experience as a MIG/MAG Welder / Fitter, preferably with large steel constructions.
• Ability to read technical drawings and work independently.
• Experience working according to Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS).
• Accurate working attitude with strong attention to welding quality and safety.
