Our agency partner is currently looking for experienced workshop carpenters to join their team and work in Son, the NetherlandsIf you are a motivated worker, and are looking for a job in a professional company, we have an opportunity for you!

Their Client, De Brug Timmerfabriek Son BV has the size and capacity to handle large orders for professional construction. Nevertheless, it is still a family business. The company guarantees customer satisfaction by effective collaborative methods such as lean construction and BIM, and anchors in their comapny policy in the areas of personnel development, sustainability and social responsibility. All their window frames and other products are made from sustainable and ecologically sound wood. 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Producing high quality wooden frames for doors and windows based on technical drawings;
  • Checking the soundness and condition of existing structures;
  • Determining the correct dimensions and distances with tools such as tape measure, pencil, folding ruler, and chalk;
  • Cutting wooden plates and beams to size with (electric) devices;
  • Fastening building materials together using nails, screws, bolts, etc.;
  • Finishing connections and seams (for example, with skirting boards or sealant).

  • Dutch contract;
  • All social guarantees;
  • Guaranteed 40 hours/week (only in day shifts), with the possibility of overtime;
  • Company car and clothing;
  • Accommodation in a single room in well-equipped shared houses; 
  • Help with obtaining VCA certificate;
  • A friendly environment and initial training will be provided.

Requirements:

  • CV in English is required to apply for this position;
  • At least 3 years of previous experience working as a carpenter;
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings on a high level;
  • Motivated and passionate about carpentry;
  • Able to work precisely and accurately;
  • VCA certificate will be considered an advantage;
  • Own car is a big plus;
  • Willingness to live and work with multiple nationalities;
  • Available to stay longer in the Netherlands.

Allowances:

Gas compensation: over 30 km (work-home distance) 0.23EUR per km

In case the candidate doesn’t have his own transport, the agency can provide a company car for € 100 a week. If they can share the car, then the candidates will split the costs.
