The company serves a diverse market, from large-scale catering and gas stations to an exclusive distribution partnership with Heineken. This dynamic company is now looking for an experienced reach truck driver with a valid certificate.

About The Role

• Efficient Order Picking: Use the reach truck and RF scanners to accurately pull inventory from high-density storage racks for outgoing shipments.
• Inventory Replenishment: Monitor stock levels in the lower picking zones and descend pallets from high-level storage to ensure pickers always have available inventory.
• High-Bay Storage Management: Navigate narrow aisles to safely stack and retrieve goods at heights often exceeding 8–10 meters.
• Quality & Temperature Integrity: Ensure goods are moved rapidly into the "Fresh" (+5/+10°C) or "Freezer" (-18/-28°C) zones to maintain the cold chain and food safety standards.
• Inbound Logistics: Unload incoming delivery trucks and verify that the quantity and quality of the received goods match the shipping documentation.
• Pallet Consolidation: Organize and rearrange warehouse space to maximize storage capacity and maintain a tidy, accessible workspace.
• Safety Equipment Checks: Perform daily pre-shift inspections on the reach truck to ensure hydraulics, brakes, and safety lights are functioning correctly.
• Loading Support: Assist in loading delivery vehicles for the Heineken distribution network or Sligro catering clients, ensuring heavy items are placed at the bottom for transport stability.

The salary for the role is 16,37€/hour (includes a base of 15,12€ + 8,33% holiday allowance). Employees are paid weekly and get additional allowances.

Environment Allowances:

• • Fresh Department (+5°C to +10°C): +0,51€/hour.
  • Freezer Department (-18°C to -28°C): +1,24€/hour.

Freezer Perk: Employees receive a 15-minute break for every hour worked in the freezer.

Enjoy a structured Monday–Friday schedule with significant uplift for overtime and weekends:

• Standard Shifts: 07:00–15:00 or 13:00–21:00.

• Evening/Night Bonuses:
  • Mon–Fri (19:00–22:00): +25%
  • Mon–Fri (22:00–05:00): +50%

• Weekend Bonuses:
  • Saturday (00:00–14:00): +50%.
  • Saturday (14:00–19:00): +75%.
  • Saturday (19:00) through Sunday (24:00): +100%.

Requirements:

• Valid Reach Truck Certificate: Possession of a valid, recognized reach truck license is essential for operating machinery within the warehouse.
• Proven Experience: Demonstrated experience operating a reach truck, particularly in high-bay storage or narrow-aisle environments.
• Cold Environment Resilience: Ability and willingness to work in temperature-controlled environments, including "Fresh" departments (+5°C to +10°C) and "Freezer" departments (-18°C to -28°C).
• Physical Fitness: Capability to handle the physical demands of a warehouse setting, including getting on and off the machinery frequently and working in cold temperatures.
• Safety Consciousness: Strict adherence to safety protocols, including the mandatory use of safety shoes with a steel toe cap.
• Shift Flexibility: Availability to work in a rotating shift system (07:00–15:00 or 13:00–21:00) and openness to weekend work to earn bonuses.
• Commuting Flexibility: Willingness to cycle up to 10 km to work or, if possessing a valid B-category driving license, act as a company car driver for the team.
• Reliability: A consistent and professional work ethic, as Sligro operates a high-frequency national delivery network for major partners like Heineken.
• Documentation: Ability to provide a copy of personal Dutch health insurance if you do not wish to use the insurance provided by the agency.
• Accommodation: Willing to live in a shared room and share common area (kitchen, bathroom)
• Partner: Accept working in separate shifts and departments when applying with a friend or a partner.
