We are looking for experienced plumbers and heating technicians for long-term utility and commercial construction projects in the Netherlands.

The projects may include offices, hospitals, shops, government buildings and other large commercial or public buildings. Candidates will be assigned to projects that match their experience and technical skills.

Main responsibilities

Depending on the project, your work may include:

• Installing hot and cold water pipes
• Installing sewage and drainage systems
• Installing rainwater drainage systems
• Installing sanitary systems and sanitary ware
• Installing central-heating systems and heating pipework
• Installing plumbing systems in offices, hospitals, shops and public buildings
• Checking and testing completed installations
• Ensuring installations comply with applicable standards and regulations
• Reading and working from technical drawings
• Coordinating with other technicians and construction workers on site

The exact duties will depend on the project.

Requirements

You should have:

• At least two years of experience as a plumber, heating technician or CV mechanic
• Experience with utility or commercial installations
• Experience installing plumbing, sanitary, drainage or heating systems
• Experience working independently from technical drawings
• Good communication skills
• The ability to work safely in an international team
• Experience with Mapress or comparable press-fit systems is required for these projects.

Experience with one or more of the following systems or materials is useful:

• Mapress
• Uponor
• Geberit
• Rehau
• Henco
• Copper
• PP
• HDPE
• PVC drainage pipes
• Tyleen
• PTFE

Candidates do not need experience with every system listed. Recruiters should clearly specify which systems and materials the candidate has worked with.

Additional skills

The following experience is considered an advantage:

• Bending copper pipes
• Soft soldering or brazing
• Installing underfloor heating
• Installing heat pumps
• Installing gas pipes
• Installing ventilation or air-conditioning systems
• Installing kitchen pipework
• PE pipe welding
• TIG or autogenous welding

Certificates and other requirements

• Valid VCA safety certificate or willing to obtain in the Netherlands
• High-work certificate may be required for some projects
• Professional plumbing education or technical training is preferred

Working conditions

Location: Various projects across the Netherlands

Working hours: 40 hours per week

Typical schedule: 07:00–15:45

Breaks: Morning coffee break, lunch break and afternoon coffee break

Overtime: Generally not available

Project duration: Long-term job opportunities are available.

A higher salary may be possible after demonstrated suitability.
