Join our client, a modern Dutch logistics leader specialising in warehousing and distribution for the food retail sector and major retail chains. They are looking for a dedicated Team Leader to act as their "eyes and ears" on the warehouse floor, ensuring their operations remain safe, efficient, and high-quality.

The Role

As a Team Leader, you are the primary point of contact for the logistics team. You will manage daily progress, motivate your colleagues, and maintain seamless communication between the warehouse floor and the office.

Core Responsibilities:

• Team Management: Leading, supporting, and motivating your team of logistics employees.
• Operational Oversight: Coordinating daily warehouse activities and monitoring planning, quality, and safety.
• Process Improvement: Identifying bottlenecks and implementing improvements to keep workflows efficient.
• Maintenance: Ensuring a clean, safe, and well-organized work environment.
• Reporting: Providing performance updates and reporting operational issues to management.

Specialised Opportunities:

Depending on your focus, you may lead the Inbound (Goods Receiving) or Outbound (Shipping) teams:

• Inbound: Preparing work for unloading, managing pallet flow, and checking incoming goods for damage or discrepancies.
• Outbound: Coordinating order picking, monitoring accuracy and deadlines, and supervising efficient loading operations.

The salary for this role €16.15 gross per hour, in a full-time position (40 hours per week) under a Dutch employment contract. You will be working in a modern, well-equipped logistics warehouse with access to an employee portal for all your documents and dedicated support from a coordinator.

Requirements

• Experience: Proven background in logistics and team leadership.
• Skills: Strong communication, organizational skills, and a problem-solving mindset.
• Resilience: The ability to maintain quality and efficiency while working under pressure.
• License: A valid Category B driving license is mandatory.
• Reliability: The candidate should not have changed jobs too frequently (preference will be given to candidates who have worked for at least one year with each employer)
• Accommodation: Willing to live in a shared room and share common area (kitchen, bathroom).
