The client is one of the best-known book distribution companies in the Netherlands, operating out of a large warehouse in Culemborg to send books to bookshops, stores, and customers. You will work in an international team within a friendly and informal atmosphere, handling new book arrivals in the High Bay department before they are prepared for final delivery.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities

• Unpacking & Sorting: Unpacking pallets of books and sorting them into the correct containers.
• Scanning & Registration: Scanning and registering books at a picking station.
• Labeling: Applying labels and stickers to books.
• Preparation & Movement: Moving books around the warehouse and preparing them for subsequent departments.
• Physical Workflow: Spending most of the shift standing, walking, and engaging in varied tasks to keep the workday dynamic.

Working Hours & Shift Structure

Shift Options (Available for at least two shifts):

• • Day Shift: 06:30 – 15:00
  • Afternoon Shift: 14:00 – 22:30 (extending until 23:30 during busy periods)
  • Night Shift: 22:30 – 06:00 (extending until 07:00 during busy periods)

Workload: Full-time (40 hours per week), working on weekdays and/or Sundays as scheduled.

Allowances & Benefits

• Shift Allowances: Extra pay for evening, night, and weekend shifts (up to €28.66 gross per hour on Sundays with the 85% allowance).
• Additional Benefits: 8% holiday allowance, weekly salary payments, opportunity for longer-term employment.

Candidate Requirements & Preferences

• Experience: Prior warehouse experience is not required; motivation and willingness to work are most important.
• Physical Fitness: Physically fit and comfortable standing, walking, and moving for the majority of the shift.
• Availability: Able to work 40 hours per week across at least two different shifts.
• Accommodation: Willing to live in a shared room and share a common area (kitchen, bathroom)
• Partner: Accept working in separate shifts and departments when applying with a friend or a partner
