The client is one of the best-known book distribution companies in the Netherlands, operating out of a large warehouse in Culemborg to send books to bookshops, stores, and individual customers. Working alongside international colleagues in a friendly, informal atmosphere, you will be responsible for collecting and packing books to ensure customer orders are prepared on time.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities

• Order Picking: Collect books accurately based on customer orders.
• Vehicle Operation: Drive an electric order-picking truck (EKS / man-up truck) to pick books from shelves up to approximately three meters high (prior experience on a reach truck or driving with an EPT is mandatory; training for the man-up truck is provided if you haven't driven one before).
• Quality & Verification: Check that orders are correct and complete.
• Warehouse Duties: Move books around the facility, assist colleagues with other picking tasks when needed, and maintain a clean, safe workplace.

Working Hours & Shift Structure

Shift Options:

• • Day Shift: 08:30 – 16:30
  • Evening Shift: 17:00 – 01:00
  • Night Shift: 22:00 – 06:30

Availability Rules: You must be available to work at least two different shifts and have mandatory availability to work every Monday. Full-time work.

Allowances & Benefits

• Extra Payments: Additional shift payments for evening, night, and weekend hours (reaching up to €28.66 gross per hour on Sundays with the 85% allowance).
• Additional Benefits: 8% holiday allowance, weekly pay, and professional training on the electric order-picking truck.
• Accommodation: Housing location provided in Tilburg.

Candidate Requirements & Preferences

• Experience: A couple of months of general warehouse or order-picking experience; mandatory experience operating a reach truck or driving with an EPT.
• Physical Demands: Physically fit, capable of lifting packages weighing up to 10 kg, and comfortable working at heights up to approximately three meters.
• Core Competencies: Careful, independent worker who is highly motivated and eager to learn how to operate a man-up truck.
• Availability: Flexible to work across at least two shift patterns and strictly available every Monday.
• Accommodation: Willing to live in a shared room and share a common area (kitchen, bathroom)
• Partner: Accept working in separate shifts and departments when applying with a friend or a partner
