Are you an experienced groundworker looking for a stable job in Germany?

Our client in Germany is looking for groundworkers to join large construction and infrastructure projects across Germany. You will work alongside excavator operators and other construction professionals, helping prepare the ground for roads, underground pipes, cables, and other infrastructure.

The company works on long-term projects for major German construction companies, offering opportunities for stable employment.

Your responsibilities

As a groundworker, your tasks will include:

• Digging trenches and preparing construction areas.
• Assisting excavator operators with groundwork activities.
• Placing and connecting underground pipes.
• Preparing trenches and routes for electrical cables and other utilities.
• Helping prepare the ground for new roads and infrastructure.
• Performing general physical work on construction sites.
• Following safety instructions and working together with your team.

The work is outdoors and can be physically demanding, including working in muddy or dirty conditions.

Requirements

• Previous experience at least 6-12 months in groundwork, civil construction, road construction, or similar construction-site work outdoors.
• Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work.
• Willingness to work in Germany on long-term projects.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Suitable safety footwear, including sturdy, high work boots.

Driving licence and transport:

Candidates from Romania who have driving licence will have opportunity to drive to Germany from Romania with a rental car, the car will be delivered to your home.

Workers from other countries who have the option can travel in groups of at least two, with at least one person who has a valid driving licence and access to a car.

Salary and benefits

• Approximately €3,000 net per month, depending on working hours, working days, and allowances.
• Expected monthly net earnings generally range from €2,850 to €3,200, provided the relevant working hours and allowance conditions are met.
• Salary includes gross hourly wages and applicable net allowances.
• Daily subsistence allowance of €28 for working days of at least 7 hours.
• Travel reimbursement based on declared mileage, approximately €20 net per working day in typical circumstances, subject to completed travel declarations.
• Weekly salary advance payment of €200 is available.
• Monthly salary settlement on the 15th of the following month, with advances deducted.
• Free accommodation arranged by the employer.
• Potential long-term employment on ongoing construction projects.

Important: The allowances are already included in the estimated €3,000 monthly net salary. They are not additional payments on top of that amount. Actual earnings depend on hours worked and eligibility for the allowances.

Accommodation

Schierwater International arranges and pays for accommodation.

• Usually single rooms, subject to availability.
• Generally within 30–40 minutes' driving distance of the construction site.
• Internet access and kitchen facilities.
• Shared relaxation or living areas.
• Parking arranged near the accommodation.

Smoking, drug use, and alcohol abuse are prohibited in the accommodation.
