The client, located at Loggerstraat 80 in IJmuiden, is a tight-knit, stable family business operating with a dedicated team of about 8 employees. The company specializes in the essential logistics lifecycle of wooden pallets, ensuring commercial pallets are sorted, structural damages are repaired, and units are returned to active circulation for industries across the region. About the Role

As a Production & Pallet Repair Worker, you will be responsible for keeping logistics operations moving by restoring damaged transport assets. This is an active, physical role centered around manual woodworking, quality sorting, and structural repairs.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspection & Sorting: Assess incoming wooden pallets to identify cracks, broken boards, or structural weaknesses. Sorting primarily takes place indoors, with occasional outdoor tasks depending on warehouse space.
• Manual Repair: Efficiently repair broken or damaged wooden pallets using various hand and power tools (such as nail guns, crowbars, and saws).
• Component Replacement: Remove broken wooden planks or blocks and reinforce the pallets to meet strict transport safety standards.
• Production Support: Stacking, organizing, and preparing refurbished pallets for shipping and redistribution.

The salary for the role is €14.80 gross per hour, with a stable, single daytime shift running from 08:00 to 17:00, Monday through Friday. Enjoy a full 40-hour work week with predictable routines and free weekends.

During work, employees get 1 hour of unpaid rest time per day, naturally built into the shift schedule. In addition to this, protective safety shoes are fully supplied by the company.

Active transport is fully supported; a company-supplied bicycle is available for just €5 per week to handle your daily commute to the job site.

Requirements

• Language Skills: Communicative English is required to coordinate safely with the team.
• Experience & Profile: Experience with manual hand tools or basic carpentry/woodworking is highly preferred. The role involves physical labor, making it well-suited for candidates who enjoy active, hands-on industrial work.
• Commitment: Looking for a long-term professional relationship (a minimum stay of 6 months is required, with a preference for long-term/permanent workers).
