SmitVis is a key division of Sligro Food Group, a leading Dutch food service company with over 4,500 employees, 50 branches, and a growing logistics network across the Netherlands.

Job Description

As an all-round fish processing employee, candidates will rotate through several key tasks and gain hands-on experience in every aspect of the job:

• Packing Fish: Working alongside the line operator to quickly and efficiently pack processed fish. No prior experience is needed
• Order Picking: Help collect the final products for delivery to Sligro’s wholesale branches and customer orders.
• Processing Fish: Descaling, filleting, portioning, and custom-packaging fish, primarily for catering clients. A sharp eye for quality is essential!
• Hygiene & Quality Control: Maintaining cleanliness and following strict procedures to ensure food safety and quality standards.

Note that the base salary for the role is €14.23 per hour for people 21 and over. Younger candidates will earn the following: 20 years: €13.13, 19 years: €11.75, 18 years: €10.36. In addition to this, candidates will be able to get the following allowances: 10.5% holiday allowance, shift allowances ranging from 25% to 100%, cold environment allowance: €0.49/hour, and freezer allowance: €1.19/hour.

Requirements:

• Basic English (A2) or Polish language skills
• Previous experience in production is a plus, but not required
• Comfortable working in a cooled environment
• Willing to work in a two-shift system (day and evening shifts)
