Our client is a leading company in the poultry sector, managing the full process from slaughtering to packaging and distribution of chicken products in fresh, frozen, and processed forms. To support this logistics chain, they are currently seeking CE truck drivers for night-time livestock transportation within Belgium.

As a CE truck driver, you will be responsible for the night-time transport of live chickens from farms to the slaughterhouse. You will load and unload cages using a forklift, and you’ll be expected to clean the truck after completing your shift to ensure it’s ready for the next night’s work.

This is a physically active role involving tandem trailers with steered axles and requires handling specific environmental conditions—including rural odors and live animals.

Schedule & Work Conditions:

• Work hours: 12–15 hours per night
• Workdays: Sunday evening to Friday morning
• Start time: between 19:00 and 20:00
• Daily trips: approximately 2
• Truck cleaning required after each shift
• You’ll work with the same truck daily (truck stays at the depot)

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of CE truck driving experience
• Experience with tandem trailers with steered axles (mandatory)
• Forklift operation experience (mandatory)
• Valid CE driving license, Code 95, and digital tachograph card
• Own vehicle for commuting
• Willingness to work in an environment involving livestock
• Flexibility to work on public holidays (e.g., Easter, Christmas)
• Certificate of Conduct (VOG) required after start
• Vaccination against DTP (Diphtheria, Tetanus, Polio) mandatory after trial if not already vaccinated

Compensation & Benefits

• Weekly net salary: €800–900
• Gross hourly wage: €15.12 + ARAB premium of €1.78/hour
• Night hours paid at €1.78/hour extra
• Daily allowance: €10 net
• Weekly hours: 60–75
• Overtime (above 40h):
  • +30% on weekdays
  • +50% on Saturdays
  • +100% on Sundays
• Paid holidays and holiday allowance (distributed via government system in June)
• Health insurance: approx. €10/month
• Pension scheme
• Training period: 3 paid days

Accommodation

• Single furnished rooms: €125/week (all-inclusive: utilities + Wi-Fi)
• Shared kitchen, bathroom, and living spaces
• Deposit: €180 (includes €30 for bed linen, which is kept by the employee)
• Deposit refunded one month after departure
