As a Train Electrician / Mechanic, you will work both inside and outside locomotives, contributing to the modernization and maintenance of train systems.

Your responsibilities include:

Interior work:

• Stripping and fully refitting cabins of 20+ year-old locomotives
• Replacing panels, wiring, switches, and handles
• Installing advanced systems such as sensors and traceability technology
• Working based on technical drawings, diagrams, and documentation

Exterior work:

• Installing wiring, antennas, and smart sensors
• Performing upgrades to meet modern safety and technology standards

This role requires real craftsmanship, combining technical knowledge with hands-on experience.

Job Requirements

• Completed MBO degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or similar
• At least 5 years of experience with electrical and/or mechanical installations
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and diagrams
• Experience in rail, transport, or similar sectors is a strong advantage
• Experience working in confined or tight spaces
• Background as a ship electrician or in the utility sector is a plus (combined with mechanical knowledge)
• Ability to work independently and take initiative
• Team-oriented mindset
• Mechanical skills are considered an advantage.

Terms of Employment

• Net salary of €580 per week based on 40 hours
• Overtime paid at an additional €6.00 per hour
• Salary increase to €600 net per week after 2–3 months based on performance
• Stable, long-term employment with consistent working hours
• Weekly salary paid directly to your bank account
