Our client, Boon Food Group handles the complete distribution for Boon Supermarkets across the Netherlands and is expanding rapidly through acquisitions of PLUS (formerly COOP) stores. Additionally, they manage supply for Centerparcs (NL & BE), Albron, and Zorgbericht – the online supermarket for healthcare.

To support their growth, they're hiring Order Pickers to join their logistics team in the Netherlands.

Responsibilities

You will play a key role in preparing customer orders for timely shipment while maintaining our high safety and food safety standards. Tasks include:

• Picking items based on digital order lists (Voicepick – available in English, Dutch & Polish)
• Stacking goods safely on pallets (max weight: 25kg)
• Packing and labeling orders for shipment
• Checking expiry dates and product quality
• Reporting shortages or issues to supervisors
• Keeping your workspace clean and safe

Work Departments

1. Groceries Department

• Ambient warehouse conditions
• Work with Electric Pallet Truck (EPT) and 3 roll containers
• Production target: 120 packages/day
• Shifts: 05:00–13:00 and 13:00–19:00/20:00

2. Fresh Produce Department

• Cooler temperatures (2–10°C)
• Handling heavier goods like fruits and vegetables
• Production target: 230 packages/day
• Shifts: 07:00–18:00
• €0.50/hour cold environment bonus

Note that the base salary for this role is €14.23 gross/hour, with additional bonuses and allowances (such as +8.33% holiday pay and

cold work bonus: €0.50/hour). Employees get paid weekly, on Fridays. They will also receive the necessary safety clothing and will have the option for shared housing, and to travel to the job site on bike. Those who drive can earn €2.50/day extra, up to €12.50/week.

Shift Allowances:

Mon–Fri:

• 19:00–22:00: +25%
• 22:00–24:00: +50%
• 00:00–04:00: +50%
• 04:00–06:00: +25%

Saturday:

• 00:00–04:00: +50%
• 04:00–06:00: +25%
• 19:00–24:00: +100%

Sunday/holidays: +100%

Training & Onboarding

• 4-week training period, with the first 3 days led by a trainer
• Ongoing support from trainers and E&A coordinators
• 1.5-hour onboarding session + Voicepick system setup

Requirements:

• Physically fit and at least 1.70 m tall
• Able to lift up to 25kg
• Fluent in English (all work communication is in English)
• Flexible, responsible, and disciplined
• Before arrival a Certificate of No Criminal Record (for accommodation)
