Our trusted agency partner is currently looking for experienced all-round mechanics to join their team in Groenlo, the Netherlands!
Vion Food Group is seeking allround mechanics to work in its modern slaughterhouses. These facilities process up to 5,000 pigs per day and are undergoing upgrades to increase production capacity, making this an exciting time to join the team. You’ll play a crucial role at working with various types of machines, using a wide range of different techniques, including mechanical engineering, hydraulics, refrigeration technology and pneumatics.
The most important thing is that you have an electrical background and the experience with working on machinery. At Vion Food Group, you’ll have a very diverse set of tasks, and a plenty of opportunities for further development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and overhauls on machines and installations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve machine and installation issues.
- Modify machines and occasionally adjust technical drawings.
- Participate in factory improvements and capacity expansion projects.
What to Expect During Your First Week:
- Three days of training at the company’s training center to get familiar with the work environment and tasks.
- Free accommodation, lunch, and beverages during the training days.
- €20 net per day for personal expenses during the first week.
- Assistance with obtaining a Dutch citizen number (BSN), if required.
Requirements:
- CV in English is required to apply.
- At least 1 year of experience as a mechanic is mandatory.
- Electrical background is essential, with solid experience working on machinery.
- Knowledge of mechanical engineering, hydraulics, refrigeration technology, and pneumatics (training provided if needed).
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings is a plus
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including some Saturdays (in every two weeks, there’ll be an additional shift on Saturdays).
- Willingness to enhance skills and commit to long-term employment.
- Comfort with the slaughterhouse environment, including handling of animals (pigs).
- Proactive and cooperative attitude.
- Willingness to work with and live among multiple nationalities.
