Are you an experienced warehouse professional looking to join a leader in the food service industry? We are currently seeking two motivated candidates to join the team at our client, a major wholesaler delivering to restaurants, events, and the food industry.

The Role

As an Order Picker, you are the heartbeat of the logistics process. You will operate an order-picking truck to collect groceries and supplies, ensuring every customer receives exactly what they ordered.

Key Responsibilities:

• Order Fulfillment: Use an automated scanning system to collect products for multiple customers simultaneously.
• Precision Handling: Place stickers on crates, scan items for accuracy, and report any shortages to reach truck drivers.
• Logistics Management: Ensure items are stacked logically on your truck to prevent damage and optimize space.
• Equipment Care: Conduct daily inspections of your order-picking truck and report any defects to the Group Manager.
• Environment: Work primarily in a standard temperature environment, with unloading tasks performed in a cooling area (approx. 7°C).

The base wage for the role is €14.98 gross per hour (for ages 21–55), with additional cooling allowance (€0.50 extra per hour for 10 hours per week due to work in the cooling area). First, you'll recieve an initial training in the first two weeks (in the morning shift from 07:00 to 15:00 to learn the systems and standards). After that, high-performing workers transition to the leading afternoon shift from 13:00 to 21:00. Expect significant overtime opportunities (sometimes until midnight) during peak periods.

Canteen Perks: Free coffee, tea, soda, and fruit. Highly subsidized meals (sandwiches and hot meals) available for €0.50 to €2.00.

Shift Premiums:

• • 19:00 – 22:00: +25%
  • 22:00 – 04:00: +50%
  • Sunday Work: +100% (if requested during busy periods).

Requirements

• Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse or order-picking environment.
• Language: English level B1 (must be able to communicate clearly).
• Physical Fitness: This is a physically demanding role involving heavy lifting (bottles, crates, and containers).
• Accommodation: Willing to live in a shared room and share common area (kitchen, bathroom)
• Partner: Accept working in separate shifts and departments when applying with a friend or a partner
