We are looking for technically skilled Electricians / Mechanics to join Brouwer Technology in Roosendaal. This is a unique long-term project where you will work on the modernization and refurbishment of locomotives, upgrading older trains with modern electrical, mechanical and safety systems. This position is suitable for experienced electricians, electromechanics, mechatronics technicians, maintenance technicians and ship electricians who are comfortable combining hands-on technical work with electrical installations.

You will work both inside and outside locomotives, carrying out complete refurbishment and technical upgrades.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Stripping and completely refitting locomotive cabins
• Replacing electrical wiring, panels, switches and controls
• Installing sensors, antennas and modern monitoring/traceability systems
• Installing and connecting electrical components and equipment
• Carrying out mechanical assembly and installation work
• Working according to electrical diagrams, technical drawings and documentation
• Upgrading older locomotives to meet modern technical and safety standards
• Troubleshooting and solving technical problems
• Working in confined spaces inside locomotives

This is not simple plug-and-play assembly. You should have solid electrical knowledge and be comfortable working independently with wiring, installations and technical documentation.

We are looking for technically skilled candidates with a practical mindset and preferably experience as an electrician or technician.

Requirements:

• At least 3 years of relevant and recent experience in electrical installations, electromechanics, mechatronics or technical maintenance
• Good electrical knowledge and hands-on technical skills
• Ability to read and work from electrical diagrams and technical drawings
• Mechanical skills are a strong advantage
• Experience with railways or transport equipment is a plus, but not required
• Ship electricians are very welcome, especially candidates experienced with equipment, control systems and working in confined spaces
• Candidates from utility electrical work can also be considered if they have additional mechanical or maintenance experience
• Technical education in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or a similar field is preferred
• Independent, proactive and able to work well within a team
• Available to start on short notice
