For our customer in Venlo, we are looking for motivated Mechanics / Technical Workers who are passionate about working with trains. If you have relevant experience and are excited about this opportunity, please contact us – we’d be happy to get in touch with you!

As a Mechanic / Technical Worker, you will work both independently and as part of a team on trains and train systems. You’ll receive thorough guidance from experienced colleagues during your initial training to familiarize yourself with all aspects of the job. Work is carried out at the workshop in Venlo, and because of the variety of clients and installations, your tasks will be highly diverse and engaging.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance of train installations under the supervision of an experienced colleague
• Perform diagnostics and repairs in the workshop
• Document and administer activities according to guidelines, including tracking hours and parts used

Your Profile/Requirements:

• Technical background or interest in a technical environment
• Experience as a train mechanic is a plus, but experience as an automotive mechanic is also highly relevant (we expect at least 1-2 years of similar experience)
• Enthusiastic about delivering quality workmanship and working with robust equipment
• Willingness to learn and follow internal training for specific activities

Additional Information

• Maintenance work is performed on various parts of train systems, such as undercarriages, ceilings, doors, stairs, or braking systems
• Internal training is provided for specialized tasks according to NS (Dutch Railways) quality requirements
• Work includes treating and repairing corrosion, fixing mechanical components, and other diverse repair work
