The work will usually take place at one fixed workshop, where you will have your own toolbox and work alongside other experienced mechanics.

  • Following manufacturer specifications, technical instructions, and workshop safety procedures.
  • Recording completed repairs and maintenance activities in workshop documentation systems.

The exact responsibilities will depend on the type of buses and technical systems used by the employer.

  • Experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults in buses.
  • Ability to independently perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and mechanical repairs.

  • Experience maintaining or repairing electric or hybrid buses is an advantage, but not mandatory.
  • Ability to read technical reports, wiring diagrams, and repair instructions.

  • VCA Basic safety certificate is an advantage, or willingness to obtain one.
  • Ability to work independently, accurately, and safely.
